How to get Longer, Stronger, Healthier Looking Hair
If you are one of the many people looking to improve their hair, then have a think about how you treat your scalp.
The scalp is so much more than just the place where the hair follicles sit. It’s the absolute foundation for healthy hair growth. And we really do need to make sure that it is as healthy as possible if we are to achieve that fabulous hair that we all long for.
Great scalp health starts from within. Protein does lots of things for us; it makes up our hair, nails bones and muscles. It is one of the major building blocks that makes us who we are. And yet, many patients that I see in clinic don’t consume enough protein daily.
If you suffer from excessive hair shedding, then it may be down to a low daily protein intake that has led to a drop in stored vitamin and mineral levels. If you think of protein being taken by the blood stream to deliver vitamins, minerals sugars, cholesterol and oxygen to our cells and tissues to make them work effectively, you can see why it is so important to both a healthy scalp and fantastic hair.
Once we have a good balanced diet, we need to make good choices in our hair care products. The hair and scalp need hydration. So look for ingredients such as aqua and glycerine towards the top of the list of ingredients; these will help the hair to look shiny and feel soft.
Absolute Collagen is a fantastic supplement that I recommend throughout my national hair health clinics; as it really does benefit the hair and scalp in a very positive way.
