At UK Hair Consultants, we understand that your first consultation with a trichologist can feel extremely daunting. Eva, along with the whole team, proudly work towards three key principles. These include making you feel:

  2. Important
  3. Respected

Eva would like to reassure you not to be worried ahead of your consultation and her team is always on hand for support and to answer any concerns you may have. In fact, we encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable. The consultation is very much your own and Eva will ensure you feel at ease throughout.

When to see a Trichologist
At your initial consultation, Eva will spend around an hour going through all relevant areas of health, diet, lifestyle, family history and hair care regime. Eva will also discuss all your hair/scalp concerns; the ‘history’ to what has been happening and gaining as much information to guide your next steps.

This is followed by Eva examining the hair and scalp in a non-invasive way. You can rest assured that we will not pull or cut your hair during your consultation, instead using a specialist scalp camera to arrive at a diagnosis and treatment plan. If Eva does require a sample of the hair or blood test results to arrive at a diagnosis, Eva will discuss this with you in depth first. Eva will also take photographs of your hair/scalp which will be shown to you, should you wish. Alternatively, Eva will respectfully keep these for her own records of your patient journey.

We may also provide a referral to your GP if necessary.

After your consultation with Eva, please be advised that there is no pressure from us to do anything following Eva’s recommendations. All consultations and advice given is strictly ethical, governed by the industry’s ethical code.

If a treatment is advised and agreed upon, there will be a follow-up to ensure the effectiveness, usually around 3-4 months later. Follow up appointments are usually around 20-30 minutes.
