Here at UK Hair Consultants and Tricoextra, we’re delighted to announce that our founder and lead trichologist, Eva Proudman has been awarded a prestigious Fellowship of the Institute of trichologists in recognition of her work in promoting the service of trichology and her dedication to the industry.
Eva will now proudly use the initials FIT after her name… Eva Proudman FIT IAT !
Eva says; “My appointment as a Fellow of the Institute of Trichology - the highest and most esteemed membership category – comes after an unanimous vote from the Board in recognition of my work as both the Vice-Chairman and Chairman. The current Chair of the Institute, Neil Harvey, acknowledged “the time and effort given in raising awareness of Trichology supporting and helping other members wherever possible.”
“I am now pledging to continue to work in the way that I always have done and will continue to support the IOT, IAT and WTS to further Trichology for patients and fellow Trichologists alike.
“I am so delighted to have been awarded this Fellowship, and see it as a real honour. It drives me even harder to continue to be at the forefront of the trichology profession, providing a much needed, valuable service to anyone suffering with hair or scalp issues.
“As I retired as the Chairman of the Institute of Trichologists I was overwhelmed with letters from Members thanking me for my work and for supporting them. I will treasure all of the letters and thank every person who took the time to write to both the Institute and me personally.
“Dr David Kingsley also sent a very gracious message and has also given me an Honorary Membership of The World Trichology Society (WTS) which again is humbling and very much appreciated.
Eva adds; “Trichology for me is not a job it is a way of life. Every day, I am thrilled to meet new and existing patients helping them achieve the best hair and scalp health possible. There really is no better job that I can think of.
“My FIT certificate will hang on my clinic wall alongside my AIT, MIT and John Firmage Certificates, [awarded to a student for outstanding dedication to education], my International Association of Trichologists Membership and my World Trichology Society Membership.
“The Institute of Trichologists, International Association and World Society have a fabulous community of Trichologists and I am privileged to be a member of this International family.”
