Tricotyne+
Tricotyne+ is a powerful anti-inflammatory treatment for conditions such as Lichen Planopilaris (LLP), Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA) and others listed below.
Overview
Tricotyne+ has been developed to effectively fight and reduce inflammation that causes hair and scalp conditions such as Telogen Effluvium, Seborrhoeic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Lichen Planopilaris, (LPP) and Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia, (FFA) to name but a few of the most common that I see weekly in my clinics.
It is a specific combination of the amino acid Tyrosine and Vitamin D formulated into an easy to take treatment of 1 capsule taken 3 times daily 30 minutes before food.
L-Tyrosine communicates with our thyroid and aids the regulation of vital hormones in the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands. It’s responsible for the creation of melanin, which gives us our hair colour It’s also one of the several amino acids that contributes to re-growing healthy hair. Too little of this hormone causes stress-induced hair loss.
A recent study has shown a link between inflammatory markers in the blood and low levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D supplemented has been shown to reduce the inflammation that causes a variety of hair health and scalp conditions.
Tricotyne+ has been created to help reduce inflammation as a leading cause and contributor in hair loss and inflammatory scalp conditions effectively.
Conditions that can benefit from Tricotyne+ are:
- Chronic Telogen Effluvium
- Seborrhoeic Dermatitis
- Scalp Psoriasis
- Lichen Planopilaris
- Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia
- Alopecia Areata.
Tricotyne+ can be used in conjunction with topical Minoxidil, Juniper Therapy shampoo and Conditioner, Tricotain Shampoo and Conditioner, scalp treatment creams and lotions.

Additional Information:
As one of the busiest clinical Trichologists in the UK I see many types of inflammation that affect the health of both the hair and scalp and cause a lot of distress and discomfort.
Typical conditions that are driven by inflammatory responses in the body are conditions such as Telogen Effluvium, Seborrhoeic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Lichen Planopilaris, (LPP) and Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia, (FFA) to name but a few of the most common that I see weekly in my clinics.
Traditional treatments tend to comprise of steroids, anti-inflammatory and immune suppressing medication, which can be effective, but also carry many other associated side effects.
Working with my colleagues Internationally and researching the role of Tyrosine an amino acid and Vitamin D in fighting inflammation, looking at treatment plans, research papers and results and also seeking out optimum dosage I have been able to formulate Tricotyne+.
Tricotyne+ contains a specific combination of Tyrosine and Vitamin D at the optimum dose that can be taken in an easy capsule form at 3 capsules daily 30minutes before food.
I have been using this treatment in clinic and have found that conditions such as FFA and LPP have shown significant reduction in inflammation and also a stability in the scarring pattern that they leave behind.
Difficult to clear Seborrhoeic Dermatitis and Psoriasis has also shown a good response to adding in this easy to take treatment to my already extremely successful combination of scalp creams, shampoos and soothing lotion.
So how does it work and what does it do?
L-Tyrosine t communicates with our thyroid and aids the regulation of vital hormones in the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands.
It’s responsible for the creation of melanin, which gives us our hair colour It’s also one of the several amino acids that contributes to re-growing healthy hair.
Too little of this hormone causes stress-induced hair loss.
Benefits of Tyrosine are an increase in pigmentation into the hair shaft, reducing grey hair, increase in hair strength, improvement in the absorption of nutrients from diet. An increase in neurotransmitters, dopamine, adrenaline and norepinephrine to fight and reduce inflammation and reduce the stress response to it.
Vitamin D fights inflammation and works to reduce chronic inflammation and to regulate immune function according to recent research Vitamin D has shown a powerful anti-inflammatory effect with low levels or deficiencies of this nutrient contributing to chronic inflammation.
Tricotyne+ has been created to help to fight and reduce inflammation as a leading cause and contributor in hair loss and inflammatory scalp conditions.
